Privacy

Nerf Radar has no accounts, sets no cookies and runs no ad trackers.

Stored in your browser

These features keep their settings in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent as cookies:

  • Your starred games and followed items, for “For you” on the home page.
  • The date of your first visit, the source tag of the link you first arrived from (for example “reddit”), and when your last visit ended, for the “New since your last visit” labels.
  • The last day a visit was counted, and your notification choices.

Return-visit counter

At most once a day, your browser sends three values: whether this is a return visit, how many days have passed since your first visit, and the source tag of your first visit. We add one to a daily counter. We don't store your IP address or any identifier, so counts can't be linked to you or to each other. Nothing is sent when your browser has Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control turned on.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications for a game or an item, your browser gives us an address at its push service (run by Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft, depending on your browser) and keys to encrypt messages. We store that address and those keys with the games and items you chose and the date. We don't receive your name, email address or IP address with it.

To stop notifications, press “Notifications on” on the game or item page, use the button above, or block notifications for this site in your browser settings. When a push service tells us a subscription no longer exists, we delete it.

On iPhone and iPad, notifications work once you add Nerf Radar to your Home Screen and open it from there.

Contact form

Messages sent with the contact form, with your email address if you add one, are emailed to us and are not stored on the site.

Hosting and payments

Like any website, our host (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Nerf Radar itself doesn't store them. Paid API calls are settled on the Base blockchain, where payments are public by design.
