All 7 official updates we track, newest first, from Sep 22, 2026 to Oct 20, 2026. Hotfixes and minor updates that Embark Studios posted separately are listed as their own entries.
Update 2.2 follows the end of the PvE Beta test and adds the Wreck Set. The Hydra's weapons now spread across targets as intended and hit harder to compensate, ARC Turbines spawn far more consistently in Buried City, Riven Tides, Blue Gate and Spaceport but leave standard Dam Battlegrounds sessions, and Pendola Pass gets slightly more enemies. The Grappling Hook climbs and vaults more reliably, wall-run jumps now need backward held, and there are many Frigate, audio, quest and crash fixes.
A short hotfix targets exploits that allowed players to access locked rooms and to duplicate items. The notes give no further detail, since the developers prefer reports through support rather than public descriptions of the methods.
This update starts the PvE toggle Beta Test and adds the Carrion Set to the store. Gameplay changes include a more reliable Grappling Hook vault, Frigate hatches that burn players when they open and stamina consumables that can no longer be used during the Sprinting on Fumes cooldown. Gondola markers can now be seen from 175 meters, up from 120.
This hotfix addresses problems that appeared after the Frozen Trail launch. It fixes partially invisible weapon meshes with attachments, weapon models missing from the inventory, several server crashes, a grate on Pendola Pass that could trap players and an error when buying DLC bundles. The Reward Pass not progressing for some players is a known issue that the developers are still fixing.
Frozen Trail launches with the Pendola Pass map, the Frigate and Redirection map conditions, and the new enemies Bully, Skulker and Hydra. It adds the Bantam and Stiletto weapons, the Grappling Hook and several new gadgets, an Outpost with a Research Bench, 22 new quests, a new Reward Pass system, an amplified weapon system and a revamped Skill Tree. Max Stash Size rises by 2 levels.
This store update brings two new colour variants for the Misthorn Set, Blue Silver and Green Wood. Players who own the set receive them automatically and no restart is needed. There is no update the following Tuesday ahead of Frozen Trail.
This update adds two new colour variants for the Riposta Set, shares an update on the Fair Play efforts and announces a First Look at Frozen Trail for September 23rd. It fixes the Rawhide outfit headgear, keyboard input problems after refocusing the window, doors that could get out of sync and several crashes. Door blockers also no longer create a copy of their mesh on the opposite side.
Counts move with time of day, weekday, seasons and events as much as with patches, so a change next to a patch date is not proof the patch caused it. Where an official source gives only a date, the marker can be off by several hours.
Steam concurrent players is the number of people in ARC Raiders on Steam at the moment of each hourly snapshot (Valve's public Steam Web API, GetNumberOfCurrentPlayers, app 1808500). It does not include players on other platforms or launchers and is not the game's total player base. History starts when Nerf Radar began recording it.
