This is a small maintenance update with no gameplay balance changes. Pet photobook pages get localized text art, the play menu gains buttons to manage downloaded Workshop maps, and the VK shader cache extension flags are adjusted.

Counter-Strike 2 Update (Oct 2, 2026)

This is a miscellaneous update with no weapon balance changes. Agents now wear your equipped gloves in photobooth sessions and the buy menu, Warehouse gets improved lighting, and grenade crosshairs render correctly at a 3-pixel thickness.

Counter-Strike 2 Update (Sep 30, 2026)

This update focuses on crosshairs and has no weapon balance changes. Valve adds a crosshair outline color option and a new "Static Quadrant" style, enables grenade crosshairs during freeze time, and changes the crosshair share code format to carry the new settings. Rush maps also get clipping fixes.

Counter-Strike 2 Update (Sep 24, 2026)

This update tunes the new Rush mode and closes two silent-reload exploits. Rush gets a clearer rules description on the loading screen and adjusted team-damage kick rules, while Valve fixes a slightly faster silent reload from tapping reload first and a way to fire shotguns faster with silent reload.

Counter-Strike 2 Update (Sep 23, 2026)

This update tunes Rush timers, expands the new crosshair system and fixes silent-reload animations. The countdown after an elimination can now run up to 14 seconds on end rooms and Convoy (up from 7), while warmup, freeze and technical timeout times are shorter. Crosshairs gain half-outlines and a static square style, and Valve explains that the new thickness and length settings are measured in pixels.

Counter-Strike 2 Update (Sep 22, 2026)

This is a major update: Valve adds Rush, a fast-paced 3v3 queued mode, along with silent reloads, resolution-independent crosshairs and a new Premier map selection process. The engine moves to the latest version of Source 2, several maps get fixes, and players can now set a clan tag and apply stickers to the C4.
