The latest World of Warcraft: Forever beta build opens the City of Dalaran dungeon for testing, raises dungeon creature experience by about 20%, and restores Classic-style party experience and looting. Rage gains from damage are fixed and rebalanced for Warriors and Druids, Bear Form threat and Feral critical Rage go up, and Retribution Aura and Thorns lose a large share of their spell power scaling.
Blizzard restarted the World of Warcraft: Forever beta realms on October 6 to apply some priority fixes. One fix is intended to restore quest items that should restock in chests but had gone missing, and others address occasional disconnects on elevators and transports and an error when joining or leaving a guild.
Blizzard's hotfix list for August 13 to October 6, 2026, covering the Curse of Ula'tek content update and the start of Midnight Season 2. The biggest class tuning rounds landed on August 25 and September 22 and mostly increased damage and healing. The Venomous Abyss raid also received extensive encounter tuning and fixes.
This update includes one weapon change and several fixes. AUG reload time is reduced by half a second, dropped defuse kits get a ping icon, and Desert Eagle silent-reload audio plus Rush map clipping are fixed.

Valve releases Baba, a new hero based on New York's notorious pigeon lady, who fights with her Threadsap yarn, a bench that comes to life, Baba's Brews and The Birds. The first Ranked season now ends on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 2 p.m. PDT, and the next season starts right after.
Valve tunes Rat King: Scrap Grenade damage and the Rat Swarm cooldown are buffed, but Rule, Ratannia! is cut hard, with its cooldown rising from 130 to 160, damage reduction falling from 20% to 15%, a smaller radius, a shorter charge and mostly weaker upgrades. Sinclair takes across-the-board nerfs to HP regen, gun damage and falloff, Vexing Bolt against objectives, Rabbit Hex and Audience Participation, and a bug that slowed lane troopers is fixed.
Valve releases the Rat King, a new hero who throws a bouncing Scrap Grenade, sends a Swarm of Rats at enemies, shrugs off incoming damage with his Royal Pestments and rallies allies with the Banner of Ratannia. Valve says the next hero arrives on Tuesday at 2pm PDT.
This is the patch Worlds is played on. Riot tones down pro staples Ambessa, Ashe, Cassiopeia, K'Sante and Yunara, buffs weaker picks like Kennen, Kindred, Lillia, Swain and Smolder, and cuts Hextech Rocketbelt's ability haste from 20 to 10 while raising its active damage. Replays become private, and League Classic adds Aatrox, Caitlyn, Irelia, Karma, and Quinn and Valor.
This WARDOGS hotfix disables IR Rangefinders in the vendor until Season 02, when they will need batteries, because BULKHEAD agrees with players that they are too overpowered. It also makes the CIWS destroy the Havoc in about 6 seconds instead of 12, after the previous patch overcorrected it.
