TL;DRValve releases the Rat King, a new hero who throws a bouncing Scrap Grenade, sends a Swarm of Rats at enemies, shrugs off incoming damage with his Royal Pestments and rallies allies with the Banner of Ratannia. Valve says the next hero arrives on Tuesday at 2pm PDT.

The Rat King is a new playable hero. His kit includes Scrap Grenade, which bounces along the street; Swarm of Rats, which bites at enemies' heels; Royal Pestments, which help him shake off incoming damage; and the Banner of Ratannia, which he raises in the middle of combat.

  • Rodent-hating citizens of Manhattan won't be prepared to see his Scrap Grenade bouncing down Broadway, nor for his Swarm of Rats biting at their heels.
  • By donning his Royal Pestments, the Rat King shakes off incoming damage, allowing him to bravely lead the charge into battle.
