VALORANT Patch 12.09: what changed

Nerf 20Adjust 9New 1Fix 10
Read the official notes ↗
TL;DRThis patch nerfs Neon and every shotgun. Neon no longer gets an air speed bonus from jumping with High Gear, and her fuel only regenerates on kills while her ultimate is active; shotguns become far less accurate while moving, jumping or on ropes, the Bucky loses close-range pellet damage, and the Shorty fires slower.

Who this matters to

Neon players

Jumping with High Gear no longer gives extra air speed, and kills only refill fuel during your ultimate, though fuel still regenerates passively.

Shotgun players

Moving, jumping and rope spread rise sharply on the Bucky, Judge and Shorty, crouching gives a 15% accuracy multiplier like rifles, and the Bucky's 0-8m pellet damage drops.

PC players with AMD GPUs

AMD Anti-Lag 2 is supported and can reduce input latency in GPU-bound scenarios on compatible hardware.
